LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing the educational activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Summarize recent data on NTM epidemiology and risk factors
  • Review the microbiology, pathogenesis and environmental aspects of NTM.
  • Describe how to personalize treatment goals for patients with NTM-LD based on health status, comorbidities and patient preferences.
  • Assess strategies for preventing drug-related adverse events in treatment of patients with NTM-LD.
  • Evaluate clinical data on the efficacies of established & emerging therapies for patients with NTM-LD.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is intended to meet the educational needs of infectious disease specialists, pulmonologists, internal medicine specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and other professionals involved in the care of patients with NTM-LD.
