TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists, nurse practitioners, nurses and other healthcare practitioners who treat patients with IBD.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing the CME activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Expand the knowledge of signaling pathways that drive IBD pathophysiology and describe the role of Janus kinase (JAK) pathways in cytokine effects
  • Review the interpretation of laboratory and physical findings in addition to mucosal status to optimize appropriate IBD therapy
  • Discuss the clinical application of available and emerging agents to reach a treat-to-target therapeutic goal
